  • 7th AAWS Congress Call for Absract

The Asian Association of Women’s Studies (AAWS), in collaboration with the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) and the Office of the Gender Concerns (OGC) of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), invites changemakers, feminists, and advocates across Asia to submit abstract for the 7th Asian Association of Women’s Studies (AAWS) Congress 2025. This congress serves as a dynamic call-to-action, centered on empowerment and collaboration across intersecting identities, with Asian women leading the way.

This year’s theme, “Empower, Sustain, Democratize: Asian Women’s Journey at the Intersection of Change,” offers a vital space to examine real-world women's landscape, celebrate achievements, and confront persistent gaps. Through interdisciplinary dialogue and intersectional analysis, various individuals will explore how women are shaping and being shaped by broader socio-political shifts.

AAWS Congress 2025 seeks to strengthen regional solidarity and feminist collaboration, empowering participants to co-create knowledge and action for transformative change. By amplifying marginalized voices and promoting inclusive practices, the congress envisions a future where Asian women not only navigate change but also lead it, with vision, strength, and unity.

    • CONGRESS OBJECTIVES
